I didn't mount mine, I have it with a modular connector so I can take it with me so I don't have to worry about someone stealing it or something happening. I have the harness with convolute run up the side of the knee bolster and when I use the controller I just put it in the cup holder. Now if you have the acceleromter one then ya you have to mount it but you can just use velcro for this. I don't have photos and I don't like drilling anything either. I didn't even want to drill the hole in the firewall to run the wires but I ended up doing it later on. Anyways you could just use some velcro and being able to remove it is nice because of heat and theft.

I mounted my voyageur in the opening where the factory unit mounts. looks good, but my wife tends to bang her knee into it as it sticks out a bit further than factory. I also thought about a 4 pin plug on it so we could throw it in the glove box when not needed. Velcro to the cup holder and away we go.

I had my aftermarked brake controller mounted above the gas pedal on the plastic. Wasn't a fan of it and if my seat was too far forward my leg would rub. I went ahead and replaced it with a factory controller.
