RT Emblem

Hi Folks:smileup:

It has been a while. I had the truck for close to 10 months now and I have to say it has exceeded my expectations.I love the look and the power and the ride. The 5.7 works great. Infact I was was even looking at a Challenger Classic a while back with the 5.7. I have the sport hood which I wish was a functional performance hood however I like the look.

I have seen multiple trucks with the RT Emblem added to the Grill.I have never looked at one personally I was wondering are these a stick on or are they secured from behind? I do not mind the look.

The only onces Ive seen have been stick on, but they also werent OEM pieces. You could look at getting a new grill badge made with the RT logo on it possibly

You might be able to find an old shool R/T badge and make a way to bolt it to the grill, Im pretty sure the original emblems (talking 60s and 70s cars) bolted to the fenders and that would just take some long screws and flat stock to work.

Ive always liked putting old stuff like that on late model cars, makes it a new classic lol

Thanks SS4Luck

I agree I like some of the older parts. They are cool and some of the older stuff is metal and not plastic.

Some owners have added new rims and decals and have added the RT Emblem which looks nice.It sports up the truck.Which makes the other Manufacters look not so sporty in the sea of pickups out there.LOL

I believe this is the part number for the R/T badge 68104034AA and it just snaps into the honeycomb grille.

You cant buy it unless you have an r/t its against the law / and theres just 2 clips holding them on the grill dont buy from the dealer they are a rip off look on ebay but then again why if you dont have an r/t < owns a real r/t

she says dont be a poser

BlackRamHemi 05-03-2012 03:08 PM

Hey its the tan shorts with a black T guy again^^^^

...only thing worse that "faking" an R/T (to an R/T owner)
is beating them at the track without one. :D

Mine's not a real R/T, and if that makes me a poser, so be it :D

I have added the R/T badges to my truck, front and rear. I did this because I like the looks, but have the need for the 4 doors associated with the crew cab.

To answer the OPs question. It does just snap on to the honey comb grill. I also added a little bit of 3M double sided tape to make it just a little bit more secure, and it also cuts down on the wiggle factor. I purchased mine off of eBay (actually my wife did) I think the seller was Steve White Motors... a Chrysler/ Dodge/ Ram dealer somewhere out west.

I also added the rear R/T badge from the Magnum and Charger (I think it was either '09 or '10 model years). I just thought it looked good, and even the authentic R/T Rams are missing the rear badge.

I have had several people stop me in parking lots of various places, wondering where I was able to find a 4 door R/T. I just smile at 'em, let 'em think for a minute, then I come clean that it's not a true R/T.

That being said. Poser's Unite!!!!!!!!!!!!
