Aftermarket Nerf Bars

I have recently installed some nerf bars, and since then I have been getting this squeaking sound and or a creaking sound. I was wondering if anyone has had the some problem? If so, what can I do about it?

i am having the same problem. I double checked the tightness of everything and was able to get the bolts tighter. I am hoping that helps seemed to make less noise when I pushed and pulled on them.

Well, I have also retightened the nerf bars, but it still had the same issues. Are yours making the sounds from the rear side and maybe on the driver side? That's were it seems to be coming from on my truck. It is really starting to get on my nerves. Almost seems as if though you could had some sort of rubber bushing in between the bracket and the body mount and it would solve the problem. It seems that the brackets are shifting against the body mount and it is making the noise. I wish that I could really find were the noise is coming from.

Well, I started taking the nerf bars off, and when I started on the drivers side I removed the support bracket and then the body mount bolt on the front side. When I did that I noticed that the bar slide forward towards the front of the truck. So, I am thinking that the bar if just a hair too long and I am going to try and torque the bar so that it makes up the difference in the spacing.
