dealer sticker removal?
Hey all, just curious if anybody has any good tips/tricks to removing the dealer sticker on my tailgate? I got the one off the rear window but am not sure of a paint safe way to remove from the tailgate. I had a friend tell me that a hairdryer to heat them up would curl them and peel off easily. Is this true? Or any other proven ways you all may have used!

3M Eraser wheel should do the trick! Also works great for getting the gunk off after a de-badge.

I would ask a local detailer for what they use. I had mine removed by the local detailer when he did my Ram before I put it in storage for the summer.

use a hair dryer then peel it off or go to a car wash and use a presser washer

I have always used lighter fluid. It has never damaged the paint and it has always worked well. It just takes some patience.

Heat gun or hair dryer, then some goo gone to clean up any residue. You will be done in 2 minutes.

just take it to the car wash and pressure wash close to the sticker should peel right off then maybe need some goo gone if theirs any left over

thanks guys....will have to steal the wifes hair dryer when I get the chance in the next few days hopefully. I don't have the other stuff. Is the 3M eraser wheel like a buffing wheel?

Truck is going in on friday to get the tow mirrors and leveling kit installed...:smiley_thumbs_up:

Will post pics this weekend!!

Are you talking about the little vinyl stickers the dealer puts on there? If so, just peel em off. That's all I did, and washed that area good and clean afterwards

Friend of mine use to run a little detail shop, she taught me about the rag in lighter fluid. Dab it on, dab it on, let it soak and pull it irght off.
