A little advice for my new truck please
I just got my Ram 1500 SLT about a week ago. I was checking it out and found quite a lot of rust underneath. I googled rust removal and found this stuff at it is suposed to take off rust and be totally safe. Would it be ok to use this and has anyone ever used it? Thanks bunches. <3

Never herd ofit? Sounds like a striper sealer of sorts if you have surfice rust it might be ok . Id still go back over it with a rubberised under coat. Watch rust on brake lines these trucks are good for that if you have a lot of rust on fram rails. Knock off loose rust and go over it with some cheap flat black spray paint it might take 2 cans.

I 2nd POR 15. I've used it on many projects over the last 12 years or so, and I've never had a problem. Follow the instructions, and it will be there longer than you have the truck. Actually I just stripped a frame I did eight years ago, because I used a cheap paint on top of the Por, and the top coat looked bad. I had a tough time sand blasting the Por off the metal, and not all of it ever came off the frame. Plan to use the whole container of POR 15 at one time, and wear gloves, it takes about a week to get it off your hands. If it's just surface rust (no holes, and no grease) you can hit it with a wire brush, use their metal prep, and apply the por with the chip brushes they sell. You don't have to top coat the por15 under the truck, but I would put something over it anyway. Their Chassis coat black would be an easier way for you to go. You'll have $85 or so wrapped up in it, but you won't have to worry about any more.
