Finally back from Powder Coat....Here's the first 22" Boss 338 wheels

They finished up with the 40% gloss black powder coat this morning and just got them installed before work (Pictures were taking in the parking lot at work).....the installer was taking his sweet time because he didn't want to put a sratch on these bad boys.

FYI Here's what the orginally looked like
http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/...5-16200012.jpg

I'm thinking I want to put a 285 45 22 nitto tire on there since 305 40 22 seems to be causing rubbing issues (from what I read) to give less tire and more wheel, to me a better appearance compared to the 305 45 22 tire on there now....If I do that I'll be dropping it another 1" all around (3/5).

Also I'm thinking about giving it some life and add some paint/strips....This is what I'm thinking about doing, more than likely adding a mopar ground effect kit too.

Here's a bad ass Challenger with the sceme I'm looking at doing....Tell me what yall think about the sceme, tire swap,3/5drop, and ground effect kit.

DO IT!!!! I think that color scheme would be totally awesome on your truck! Just do it and post a whole bunch of pic's! Damn nice job on the powder coated rims. Damn those are sharp!

Wheels look nicely finished; I have personally never been a fan of the boss wheels, just not my taste in 5-spoke design, but they did a good job of finishing them.

I would think hard about downsizing your rubber, I'm currently running the 265/45R22 NT420S on my 2/4 dropped 3rd gen and there's a lot more room between the rubber and the fender than I really like. Hell, I'm thinking about upgrading to the 305s since the backspacing on my wheels allows for the wider rubber.

Too bad you aren't closer or I'd say we could swap rubber.

Yeah I don't think you got your tire size right.....The 420s don't come in that size....either
275/45/22 at 31.73" or
265/40/22 at 30.35"

The 285/45/22 are 32.09" compared to what I have now 305/45/22 at 32.6", so I'd be losing 1/2" Height and .7" width....I might just stick with them, Just throwing ideas out there for now and getting opinions.

Do it! That looks bada$$!

Those are mean looking rims!

Thanks Fellas....I'm really diggin that paint scheme and might just have to start looking for good custom paint shops here in Houston next week. I have to order that ground kit first and I think there running about 7-8 hundred...unless someone knows where to find them cheaper?

Why don't you do vinyl graphics instead of paint? Least then it's removable. The wheels look great by the way.

Looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well now that I've been pointed into the right section I gotta say that looks great! They did a great job on the powder coating, that red stripe would look great as an accent stripe around the rim. The ground effects kit would look awesome on there as well just watch out for speed bumps and curbs
