Striping the badges off of my ram...

How do I go about doing this? I want to take all the badges and trim off of my ram.... any tips and tricks to it? What about the glue that holds them on.... is there a way to clean it off without affecting the paint?

You can use dental floss or fishing line to remove decals and side trim. Just remember your truck is older and the paint under any trim WILL look different from the paint that has been in the sun. Also paint has a chance of coming off. If any adhesive remains you can remove with rubbing alcohol.

I appreciate the help..... I still have a week and a half offshore but when I do get home I'm gonna give this a shot... Is there any paticular weight of fishing line that does the best?

Also, since it is getting on into summer, if you set the truck in the hot sun for a while, then use the floss or fishing line in a up and down sawing method.
the heat of the day will loosen the glue. A heat gun or hair dryer works good too, be careful with the heat gun as it gets so hot you could melt something or damage the paint.
I never thought about the rubbing alcohol, I use "Goo Gone" but that leaves an oily residue.
