HP gains and good growl
I am looking to upgrade my exhaust. I am thinking a mangaflow hooked up to the factory pipes. Should I see any gains in HP, MPG and sound going this route?

Or is the better options out there for me?

I went with the magnaflow 14 inch just muffler swap. I sounded great, deep growl not too much drone but when I got cold air it changed the sound. I didn't like it so I changed it for the flowmaster super 40 and it sounds way better. Plus I feel more throttle response and power.
Hope this helps

you didnt get any more power from a flowmaster. Magnaflow is a straight through muffler, flow master is chambered. Flowmasters will be louder and a bit more raspy, but the mufflers are more restrictive.

had them both, know them well.

For me, i prefer my 14" magnaflow, sounds amazing.

I got the Mufflex DOD14M (It's a 14in magnaflow with piping for easy drop in. 409 stainless steel, welded... the works.) for my 2012 Express. Gonna do a K&N CAI as well. I haven't got to install it yet but plenty of youtube videos to confirm it's badditude.

I ordered the Magnaflow catback and will get it installed shortly.

You will for sure get better sound, a little better mileage, and maybe a bit extra horse power. Nothing that you would notice though

Having the stock muffler replaced with a Magnaflow is an excellent option, especially for the cost. I ran a Flowmaster Super 44 on my 2006 4.7 for a year and then switched to an 18" Magnaflow. I actually felt a little extra low end and got a tad better MPG with the switch. Now, that was going straight from the FM to the MF.....if the FM does actually drop a little low end power and the MF adds a little then it would make sense for me to be able to feel it a little going from one to the other. You may not be able to feel it going from stock to the MF. Even so, it's worth it for the sound alone. You won't be disappointed.

I was wondering the same thing on my 2012 sport. I wa thinking of going with Te flowmast 40 series, but if magnaflow gives better performance I'd rather do that. Also what would sound better with my k&n intake?

^^ Magnaflow would be a good option.
