Painted the headlight housing

Took the headlights apart, Took my girlfriend and I about 2 hours for the first one and 15 minutes for the second once we learned how to do it. I'm very happy with how it turned out, will have pictures of them on the truck tomorrow once I buy something to seal them with!

I have used black RTV to seal mine in the past and it works great. Tried clear silicone one year and I could peal the headlights apart without baking them, so I don't advise using silicone.

I was thinking i would try the stuff they use to seal a windshield on. but if i can't find it ill try the black RTV you suggested

Blood, sweat and tears my friend. Haha no its not that bad, you just heat them up in the oven at 250 for 10 minutes, take a flat head screwdriver and pry it open and try and get underneath the lens. I just did it one side at a time and if it gets hard just heat it up some more. Worked up a good sweat over top of the nice and toasty headlight though.

Not sure about that, I've never used it for anything, but I found that anything that was silicone based (I've baked mine open 3 times now) sealed great but didn't really act as a good bonding agent.
