2012 Ram 1500 - 18" MagnaFlow and Y-Pipe Installed

I've been wanting to do something with my exhaust for a while now but wasn't quite sure on the best route to go. Spent lots of time on here and YouTube trying to find the best sound for me.

Decided on the Magnaflow 18" Muffler Part# 12278. I found it wasn't going to be obnoxious loud, but it would bring out the Hemi rumble the way I wanted it to.

I also decided to do the Y-Pipe at the same time, so I purchased the MagnaFlow Y-Pipe Part# 10778

Cost for Parts was 102.58 for the Muffler and 29.99 for the Y-Pipe.
Cost for Labor was 230.

Here are some pics I took of the old muffler and y-pipe. I did get them to also remove the flattened section of pipe under the transmission pan.

So far really pleased with the sound. Will keep an eye on performance the next few days to get a better feel, but early signs seem to indicate an improvement.

If I can figure out a way to upload a video, I might do a before and after as well

Nice! Looks like a really clean install. I will hopefully be doing mine soon, same y pipe and 18" single 3"in/out muffler.

When adding the y, did you need to add any additional piping?
Or was the stock cut off, welded the new one in, then the Magnaflow exhaust...?

They did need to add some additional piping, as they cut off the partly squashed pipe under the transmission pan

Mine is going on today and that's something I wasn't sure of
