Are brakes and rotors under warranty

I am curious are the brakes and rotors covered on the 3 year 36,000 warranty?

They are for failure, generally consumables such as pads and rotors are not covered unless there is a manufacturing flaw or they outright fail.

^^What the short one said. Any part that's designed for wear is not covered under warranty, that includes pads/rotors, fluids, etc.

agreed, only manufaturer defects would be covered on a wear item, but interestingly enough, ive had lightbulbs covered under warranty on a GM and Toyota (not the Ram), but i was shokced that these are infact consumable or wear items, but they covered them.:4-dontknow:

Only Mini vans and journey's have an extended brake warranty for excessive wear and pulsation problems. So unless your brakes fall off your truck while driving their not covered.

All ABS parts are covered under 3/36 though.

I had mine completely replaced at 16,000 miles on my 2011 1500 under warranty. All new rotors and pads all around because mine were squeeking constantly. Took writing a formal complaint to RAM about the squeeking but they covered them.
