Replacement Headlight Bulb Retainer Ring
Trying to find a replacement headlight bulb retainer ring. The one on the driver's side of my 97 Ram 1500 fell apart on me tonight. The bulb feels secure enough, but I'd rather have it in there right.

Problem is, I can't find one anywhere. Anybody have one for sale or know of somewhere I can get one online? JC Whitney didn't have one, as far as I can tell.

Thanks for the help!

Oh, the truck is a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500, Base Model.

Probably ANY scrap yard for 2 dollars.

You might want to try Motormite. They make "Dorman" and "Help" products that are on the little end caps in auto parts stores.

DeMenkey 06-10-2012 10:14 PM they are omg great. At the dealership they wanted close to 600 bucks for two 12 inch licance plate harness wiring and the black plastic cover, well I got it and two blubs for less than 60 bucks brand new from mopar... They are a godsend for sure. It's got basicly any part you can think. And when someone stole it out of my mailbox I called the customer service (no wait time) and the woman sent me some more right out UPS over nighted at no charge!!!

Thanks for the recommendations. I found a $6 part at a local parts store, but it didn't fit. Here's another question, though: if I order a new set of headlights, lenses and all, will it come with its own rings, or will I have to use my old ones?

Thanks again for the help. Will check out that site.

Cool. Thanks again. Am looking into a new set of lights. Gonna have to wait a bit, though: just dropped $400 to get a wheel joint, wheel bearing, and upper and lower ball joint replaced today. No $$ for headlights for a while.
