What will these mods do for my 1/4 time
As most of you know I already have muffler delete. And k&n cai. And with all that math crud on one of my other threads I am maybe 14.15 in the quarter. And me loving speed I can't settle for it. So I wanted to know what would a 2800 stall bbk 85 throttle body and shorty headers do to my quarter mile time. I want to try to keep my truck a naturally aspirated truck and would like to get my truck down the road a high 12low 13 truck and still drive it to work everyday.

to get low 13's your gonna hafta get into tuning the suspension, track trimmin, and dive into the motor more....the stall will definitely help, but you'll need to change your gearing...i can see you gettin high 13's but until you get a good baseline run on a real 1/4 mile, I'd hate to see you be too optimistic in what you think you can run and get down on yourself for setting those expectations..I've seen it far too many times..

With a 2800 stall, headers, and 4.10s (Or even better 4.56s) then a good set of DR's on smaller rims/tires for the track. You could be well in the mid 13's with a good run.

well since i cant convince my wife to go out of state to a 1/4 track im going to have to settle for the track im at. which i like cause i can go almost back to back if i want. so heres a favor to ask. all you 13s guys. can you tell me your 500ft and 1/8th mile times. so i can atleast try to compare it to my times. please. i will highly apreciate it. i guess i could cheat and take off tailgate, spare tire, and jack. to atleast help my times. how much does the tailgate wieght, btw theres no way i will be able to get smaller rims and tires, "convince wife again" or atleast try. haha.

Maybe run a few passed with it off and see how how the truck responds with the lighter rear end. if spinning or wheel hop then leave the tailgate on. Removing weight from the front would be a good option. Front swaybar?

High 12's is going to be tough, but mid 13's are very doable. The tq converter is going to make the biggest difference for you.

here's a set of my time slips from years ago..I don't think there is a 500ft time..I think it goes 60, 330, 1/8th, 1000, 1/4....
