passenger assist handle

My wife has to use the assist handle (the grab bar on the A-pillar) to get in the passenger side of the truck, and has to pull on the steering wheel to get in the driver's side. I'd rather not put steps on the side of the truck (consider it a personal quirk :4-looney:), is there a way to install a handle like the passenger side has on the driver side A-pillar so she doesn't have to pull on the steering wheel?

I know what you mean I want one in mine too but more for me (I B short ) my idea is to go to a yard find one mark location on a piller, drill small pilot holes and use self taping screws. But I also want the step bars. (Convenient and save truck from car doors beating the hell out of my truck).

i always wondered why they put grab bars on both sides of a dakota and not on the ram. the only way i could think is drill and tap and bolt one on. but i think it might look like crap. if any body has done it some pics would be appreciated thank you
