18" or 24" Magnaflow
I apologize if this has been discussed before. I searched, but didn't find anything. Unless I missed it.

I've read lots of discussion about the difference between 14" and 18", but I haven't seen anything about their 24" mufflers here. My stock muffler is 26" and it seems like that'd be a better fit.

go with the 18" you wouldn't even notice the 24" if you keep your resonators. I have a magnaflow 22" and am probably going to be switching to the 18" or 14" soon.

Hhmmm....I plan on keepin' the resonators.

I'm not necessarily lookin' for rumble(although as an old gearhead, I love the sound). At this point, I'm lookin' at performance.(Not 1/4 mile, just overall.) 'Specially when towning.

What the heck is 'painted headlights'?! Sound cool!

well you get the same performance from any one of the mufflers as their all straight through versus the chambered you have now. I have no resonators on my truck with the 22" muffler and you can tell its a little louder, but not by much. I don't know how much performance you'd get because its just a muffler, if you want more performance get a CAI as well!

Painted headlights probably aren't as cool as it sounds haha its just black painted housing, you've probably seen it before but i didn't know what to call it
i just painted the chrome housing inside, costs $25!

That does look interesting!

I've got the Vararam CAI already. With that much air going in, I just want it to go out just as easy. :)

Now I'm wondering which would match the OEM rumble best...........

all personal preference

14"= Really loud
18"= Decent loud
24"= bit louder then stock

That's the info I'm lookin' for. Thanks.

BTW, back when I was your age, all we had to put on our muscle cars were 'Cherry Bombs'. To get them broke in real quick, we'd cruise down the highway, turn the ignition off for about 5 seconds, then restart. The action of the pistons still sucking in gas would load up the chambers. The resulting fireball explosion would blow out what little packing there was in the 'mufflers'.:smileup:

I just ordered a 24" and a Y pipe. Gonna be interesting.
