Badge Plastidip Colour Suggestions

I'm toying with the idea of dechroming.

Here's a pic for reference.

I've posted some possibilities in the poll. Vote & discuss away.

Is badge removal the preferred method for painting or can it effectively be done with them still mounted?

You should consider leaving that truck alone. It looks mint as is.

I'm definitely considering that as well - just tossing the idea around about dechroming at this point.

I personally HATE chrome. So I'd get rid of it :)

I think it might look cool to match them to your bumpers. But really anything looks better than the chrome.

Kc, I think you're right...I might take a picture in neutral lighting and play around with photoshop to experiment...

I say leave them on, and plasti-dip the badges
I've always liked black badges, even though I took all mine off

Plus 1 on removing them. Far too many badges on that truck. Keep it clean and simple. For the ones you can't remove I would go with flat black.

If you do paint them, there is no need to remove the badges. Just tape off an area about an one inch away from the badge, spray about 3 to 5 coats at different angels for coverage and then just peel of the paint on the body, the paint will stay on the badges.

Black looks the best I would say.. Coming from my with red emblems on my black truck
