As of June 20th, 2012, J.D. Powers ranked these auto makers on software bug complaints for every 100 owners. I'd say we as Ram owners did pretty good especially being better than the national average. J.D. powers stated Ford failed to deliver again in the software bug department. It's nice to hear a positive once in a while.

What's truly amazing is how poor everyone did.
Lexus at 73 problems per 100 is the best! :wow:

It seems vehicles are going the way of the computer industry. If you don't like the problems you are having with the software, you can always wait for the update that does NOT address any of issues you have, but adds a bunch more. They do suggest it's progress though...... :4-dontknow:

I think I know why everyone is going to color screens in the dash. It's proactive preparation for the 'Blue Screen of Death'. ;)

just be very happy that you don't own a newer Chevrolet Cruze
about 500,000 being recalled for engine fires

Warlock III 06-24-2012 06:46 PM

Shouldn't that have been because of Potential engine fires?

GTyankee 06-24-2012 06:49 PM

well yes, i didn't feel like typing it all out
figured everyone watches the news

I wonder how much of that is guys either 1) fixing their small truck issues themselves 2) not caring about the little things vs the SRT/fiat owners that will bitch and complain cuz the wind changed and their windshield squirters got their hood wet

I'm sure there is some of that 'I'll just take care of it myself' attitude which also likely leads toward a greater acceptance of the minor software annoyances. But then again, maybe the Rams are just better. :D

IMO all these statistics are quite unreliable and tainted, but make for a great discussion thread. :)
