Anyone using a dash cover?

Anyone using a dash cover? Picture please if you have one. I was thinking about getting a black suede one for only $56 from Dash Designs.

I bought a dash pad over 2 years ago, through Dodge

It fits everything on the drivers side & over to the edge of the glove compartments very nicely
Then it has this stupid flap that hangs way down over the upper glove compartment, in this flap is an air bag flap, so a flap within a flap
It looked like crap, so i cut off the extended flap covering the glove compartment door.
now it looks like crap with a poorly done job of chopping the flap off, but at least i can use the glove compartment without having to lift the flap out of the way

If i were to get a replacement, i would take it to a place where they have a industrial sewing machine & show them where i want the cover trimmed & a new edge sewn on

Possibly that huge flap is suppose to cover the Rams without a top glove compartment door
My Ram has both doors on the glove compartments

In the pictures i see that your dash cover also covers the speakers, does it cover the Automatic Mode Ambient Headlight Sensor too?, that is the little dome like thing, just to the right of the center dash speaker

Thanx for the pics, rep to you for the response. How do you like it in person? Silly question, but you know how things are when you can really see it.

Sorry GT for this being so late a response, I never re-checked this thread. But to answer you question, no there is a hole in the Dash pad where the sensor is located. This is a fairly thin breathable material, and so even if the speakers are covered, it does not hinder the sound. Also, with time and heat from the sun, it has taken the contours of the dash much better.

Again sorry for not answering sooner:doh:

I've thought about it but DAMN these dashes are way TOO nice to cover up.

Love the double stitching!

Sorry also jdvelchek, a bit late on the responce, in person, well at first I was hmmm, feels strange to have this there, but the more I use it, see it, the more I like it being there.

I had one on my 2000 to cover up the dreaded 'cracked dash' that plagues the 2nd gens. I ordered one for the new truck and hated the look of it, so I sent it back. I use a folding window shield when parked. It is reflective and helps keep the interior a little cooler. No dash cover for me. Here's what my shield looks like from the outside.
