No more Dodge in my garage.

Ive never hated on Dodge, but have mentioned a few times on here as well as other forums that when it was time for my 02 Ram to go, it would not be placed with another Mopar product. I loved my Ram while I had it, but over that last year or so the problems just kept stacking and costing, basically the truck was nickeling and diming me and left a bad taste in my mouth. Finally Wednesday the head gasket blew and after a cussing episode of biblical proportions I spent the rest of the day crunching numbers and researching repairing it vs dropping a new engine in it. Yesterday morning talking with my wife, the same conversation we had a few times in the past year I realized that I didnt like the truck as much as I used to and a change was in order. It did have almost 200K on it and wouldnt be a smart investment to keep fixing. Without anymore blabber, a pic say 1000 words. Rainy day head gasket repair

Ill still pop in from time to time to help and share experiences I had with my Ram.

Sorry to hear you didn`t replace it with a Ram but I hope you enjoy your new Truck. Remember we will always be here when you want to come back to RAM and us

At the end of the day, the only one that needs to be happy is you. It's unfortunate that your happiness doesn't include a new Ram, but Ford makes and sells a lot of trucks, so they must be doing something right.

You do know there is a F150ForumZ. :D

I had an f150 and LOL had same problems as you had with the ram just a bad seed every now and then

Wow man, sorry to hear about your Ram but, as usual, it's Brad's fault lol because he said it best, you're the one who has to be happy so congrats on your new truck and hopefully you can enjoy a lot of years of trouble free ownership! Do hope to still see you around here from time to time!

I agree, it was Brad's fault about your head gasket. Make sure he helps you make those shiny new truck payments! :gy:

Thanks for the well wishes guys. I will pop in now and again, I did have this truck for 3 years and learned a lot about and from it as I do all of my own maintenance and repairs. I am a Ford guy by heart and found myself in a good deal with the Ram that with my financial situation at the time I couldn't pass up. I treated it the same I have all of my vehicles with meticulous preventative maintenance and lots of care. I did like the truck it just was falling into the undependable category fast. I was found wondering if it was wise to keep putting money into it at the rate things were failing. The head gasket just put it over the top. You all have been a great group full of advice, information, entertainment, support etc.

Oh and last Monday I did hear a strange noise in the night and when I looked out my front window I saw Brad whispering to my truck in my driveway. 2 Days later my head gasket blows so no I dont think it was a coincidence, but he did direct me to the Ford Z so all is forgivin lol.
