The only thing I see is the fact you have to find the PCM and pull it to put that in. I would go with a programmer that you plug into the OBDII port. They give you more HP than the part your looking into gives.

i am under the understanding that obd2 is not possible due to encryption on this particular year and engine

Fireman664 07-09-2012 11:25 PM

Yea I didnt even notice what year your truck was. the only thing is it might be more work trying to find and access the PCM

Jet chips are a waste of money. Pretty much any piggyback chip is a waste. It just manipulates a few sensor readings to trick the pcm, and you really don't even gain any power. Hopefully superchips or diablo will having tuning available soon...

Superchips will have something soon....

i sure as hell hope so. i love this truck, but kicking myself in the ass for lack of hemi, not to mention the jokes lol

snrusnak 07-10-2012 10:27 AM

lol I sometimes wish I had the hemi power as well, but really I bought the truck for other purposes besides drag racing. I'm more than happy with the power it has(not to mention the gas mileage). It does everything I need it to and does it well. Mild towing, heavy hauling, and is somewhat quick...

You could probably do a B&G PCM swap with a 2010 pcm.

NightRazor 07-10-2012 10:47 AM

lol im not draggin it. i just want power. why drive a truck when i can drive a tank?

NightRazor 07-10-2012 10:48 AM

side note: B&G???
