Engine comp. wets during rainy conditions
We have a 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 R.V. class B that has intermittent door lock problems I
have chased down to wet conditions and I believe under the hood is the problem area.
When opened and with a fine spray of water on the windshield you can see water streaming to the engine comp. from the moulding that is located between the hood and the winsdhield. My question........is this flow a normal condition?
I have loosened the retainer screws of the moulding and inserted a sealant but there are contours and openings such as the hinge area that cannot be sealed.
Water seems to flow to so many areas in the engine compartment including the computer that I am concerned.
Your comments will be appreciated.
Is the rubber seal at the front of cowl missing?there should be two foam wedges on ether side of cowl with a pice of rubber seal like that of the door seal in middle. A lot of time they come loose and get well deleted.
