-----NITTO Trail Grappler Tire Question-----

Is anyone running perfect tread with the Nitto Trail Grappler LT295/70R18E (max. 4080lbs @ 80psi) daily city/highway driving?
Currently running 50psi front tires @ hot and 40psi @ hot in rear. Seems to be wearing equal :4-dontknow: Had the tires roughly for two weeks now.

I work at a tire and auto shop and I have seen a few sets of those come through often, just don't over inflate them, make sure ur alignment is in spec., and keep them rotated

Do they ride pretty comfortably, and how long do they normally last?

Iv put 30 000 km on my Nitto Trail Grapplers 295/70R18 and still most likely have 30-40 000 more km life left id say. I drive mostly city/highway/gravel roads. Very comfortable and quiet. My last set of tires were Toyo Open Countrys 33x12.5R18 and I got 55-60 000 km off of them. Next tires will be Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ Radial 35x12.5R18. They are louder but my buddy got just shy of 80 000 km on his. All tires listed 10 ply.

Question...why would U run a large size, agressive mud tire on mostly pavement or even dirt roads? That's like running dragster slick tires in a mud bog competition. I'm guessing for looks maybe?:4-dontknow:

Answer... When I get a new truck in a year or so, the truck I have now will be my off-road toy. So its really not like running dragster slicks in a mud bog. Its more of preparing a soon to be retired daily driver. Also you act like I don't mud the truck now.

Don't take it the wrong way, just going by what U wrote about riding mostly on paved roads with big MT's...I think it's awesome that U are planning on having a "beater/off road truck". Makes sense to me now. Gotta post some pics of that bad rig.

Ya, iv been told a few times now I need to get some pics. Still have to take some but will eventually. My next truck im getting will most likely be a 2010-2012 1 ton 6.7L and I will be putting all-terrains on that of course.

NICE! When I went searching for my truck I was looking for a diesel as well but couldn't afford the asking prices even on used trucks...so I bought a hemi. I almost never regret getting the hemi but miss the diesel power when towing up hills with a heavy load. Take a few pics with your cell phone and post em up.

I had a set of Mickey baja's and got about 40,000 miles on them. I won't do that again.
