Torque Converter Poll

Who makes the best Hemi torque converter for some street / strip action?????

I run a circle d and it is a nice converter

Circle D converters are good for low stalls, so 3000rpm or less, after that you want a top quality converter like Edge or ATS.

Not to sure they are the best but Edge has worked for me in terms of product and customer service. Ran their 2800 for a while and now been running their 3400 for almost a year. No complaints either way. Be sure to keep with billet.

I also prefer Edge. On my 03 I ran an 11" 2800, 3200, and a 9.5" 3600 stall. I was very happy with each one of them. There are a good number of guys running all of the brands mentioned, but the majority of the quickest and the most consistant trucks I know of are running Edge.

Hmmm, all these votes for Edge make me think I should try them for my next converter.

I kept seeing Edge mentioned too, but wasn't sure. And I have no idea what stall to run. Looking for a daily driver & weekend warrior setup. Probably going to 4.10 gears and up to 100-125 shot of N20 :)

If you tow, then go with a 2600. If you dont tow, then I would go with a 2800 stall. Only reason for that is because you are planning on nitrous. Your stall speed goes up with tq, so what is a 2800 stall N/A is going to be roughly a 3000-3200 stall depending on what size nitrous shot you decide to run.

I don't tow anything with the truck, just the occasional bike in the bed.

Then I would go with the 2800. If you are unsure about the nitrous, then a 3000 would be better for all around performance. Just remember that if you go with a 3000 now and add nitrous later, you are going to have a higher stall speed on the bottle.
