Is This Right? 4wd Front Hubs On A 2007 2wd Truck?

Less than a year ago, I bought a 2007 Ram1500 2wd and now I am in the process of lifting it. I wanted to measure my factory wheel backspacing and also check my brake pads since this was a used truck. When I removed the front wheel, I expected to find a solid center for the hub. Instead, I found that the center of the hub was splined and went all the way through. Did the previous owner change the front hubs to 4wd for some reason or did all Ram 2wd trucks come with the 4wd hubs?

They use the same hubs. I replaced mine and thought the same thing.
My driver side had the abs sensor and the passenger side didn't.

Only difference among the hubs, be they 2wd or 4wd is whether you have 2 wheel or 4 wheel ABS.

Cool, thanks for the help. I was worried that the previous owner did some unsafe swap with the rotors but now I feel better. Thanks again.
