pitman arm location
ok so i replaced all front end parts on my 96 ram wheel drive and had moved the pitman arm(was still on gear box) as i did not take it off as it was already new,,,But after i installed all tie rods and ball joints the sterring wheel was off 180 degrees,So i unhooked tie rod to pitman arm and then centered the arm to look straight to me(going straight line back to truck)Then i made sure the steering wheel had same amount of turns each way,,,So i hooked it all back up and was only out about 1/2 turn on steering wheerl as far as straightness goes,So i adjust steering wheel and now pitman arm faces the drivers wheel more and isnt straight anymore,,,So i guess i am asking does anyone have pics of what a proper pitman arm straightness looks like after all parts installed and aligned???

I'll take a look at mine and get back to you in a few minutes.

It usually depends on who has the time to answer or who happens to be on. If a member doesn't have an answer they're unlikely to post that they don't have an answer, but it happens.

I just happened to notice your thread so I'm going to go take a peek.

Mine comes straight back off the box the same angle as the box.

The box it on a slight angle away from the driver's side of the truck, but the arm follows the angle of the box in a straight line back, not straight to the back of the truck, but the box itself.
