"87 Stance issue

howdy i am a new prowd owner of a all original 1987 Dodge Ram 150, red in color, 318 non magnum, 2brrl 140 hp (yuck! my honda accord has 20 m0re)
...anyways...ive noticed its stance was higher in the rear and low in the front, is this a normal stance for this model? and feels top heavy in turns, like a boat. i know this is a old truck (original second owner) well taken care of, only 82k+ miles on it...being said, i dont think the shocks are bad, or replaced at that. it rides great, to my surprise. is it all right to add a coil spring lift on the front to level it out or lower the rear and try to get a better firmer handling , wich i think a stronger stableizer bar will handle the sway...SO...please any feed back any imfo would greatly appreciated...thanx

The rear end is typically higher to allow for a load which can set the back end down quite a bit. And you want to have a lot of spring travel so a load won't bottom the springs/shocks out. If there are blocks between the rear axle & the leaf springs you can remove those to lower the rear end & not lose any spring travel but if not you could get longer springs for the front. Just be aware that if you do carry heavy loads from time to time you'll have the opposite effect -- rear end being lower than the front.
