Towing

I have a 05 Ram 1500 4x4 with a 5.7 hemi. I have recently purchased a mini sprint race car and am wanting to get a 16' enclosed trailer for it. Total weight of the car and all the tools is around 2500 lbs plus the weight of the trailer. Will my Ram be able to tow this weight? Thanks for any help!

That should be no problem. I tow a 25' travel trailer that is 4,000lbs dry, so probably a bit over 5,000 with gear and its no problem.

You should have no issues pulling that at all. If in doubt check this site out and you will get your exact specs for your truck.

Yep, no problem with that weight. My '09 pulls a 6800 lb TT with no problem unless going up a mountain, then trans temp climbs. I usally leave the trans in "D", it hardly ever goes into OD. Almost never use "tow/haul" mode.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Looks like I'll be going to get the trailer! Thanks
