This is so strange!!!!!

So ill do my best to describe whats happening here.... my truck at low speeds, like 3 or 5 mph and up to 50 or so i have what feels like very lite "thud....thud....thud.....thud.....thud" that changes frequency with speed! I'm thinking a bad tire and Ive been to two diff tire shops and that cant see an out of round tire and all my tires are balanced. We even rotated the tires to see if what Im feeling goes away or changes locations and it may be not quite as noticeable but its still there.... What else can make that thud feeling while rolling very slow to moderate speeds besides the tires???:4-dontknow:

Ok, I'm not going to say that this is the problem but it sounds like somthing that has happened to me. If your truck has a mid shaft suport bearing, it could be whering down, and causing that thud that changes with your speed.

So would that be less likely with only 76K miles on the truck? and how can i check for a worn mid shaft bearing? thank you for the help

grab drive shaft by the carrier bearing and try to wiggle it up and down and side to side. any play = time for new center support bearing

i don't have a center support bearing on my truck that i can see.... its a reg cab short box 4x4 so would that make a difference?

FOUND IT!!!!! I feel stupid but i jacked up the back of the truck and put a 5 gal bucket just up against the back of each rear tire and spun it with my hand to see any change in light in relation to the tire and bucket and there it was!...flat spot on driver side rear tire. Very pleased it was not serious. thanks to you who weighed in.
