Turning 5.7 into 6.4

So I'm wOndering if
1. Do all modern hemis share the same block
2. If it is possible to swap 5.7 heads out for the 6.4's

If heard people briefly talk about these swaps but I wanna know if it is really possible

My truck is a 2012 hemi crew cab 5.7 2wd

The downside to having a 2012 is your computer. You'd have to get a hold of one of the big builders and see if they can do a 2010 swap for you.

As for the physical/mechanical side, you can easily pick up a 392cu stroker kit. There are definately quality levels among kits and spending the money will get you a higher quality kit that should stand up to more abuse.

The blocks are not the same, there is a bore difference between the 5.7L/6.1L/6.4L(?) block, however, the heads can be interchanged even though the quench area is different. The 6.1L heads bolt to the 5.7L block quite nicely but you need to look at where you want your power since the heads flow better at different rpms. I know the 6.4L heads can bolt on, but I'm not sure what the compression ratio would be.

Im 100% pos that the only differences in the top end is the push rod length and that some of the lifters are MDS depending on the transmissions, along with the springs and valve size of course... So as long as you dont change out the cam you should be fine. But do swap out the cam for IE: a 6.4 cam you would also need 6.4 pushrods so you will get the full bennifit of the cam...
