Muffler advise

I was curious to see if anyone has installed the Flowmaster direct fit muffler on their 2010 Ram yet. Seems like everyone has the Mufflex direct fit Magnaflows. I was in the process of getting one, but my supplier (friend) let me down. Further research finds Flowmaster has a direct fit muffler for our trucks. Flowmaster 817568 is direct fit with hangers and clamps included. Does anybody have one on their truck or know someone who does? Thanks.

I've read a LOT of posts about people not liking the Flowmasters on here. If you do go with Flowmaster, get a 3 chambered version. The 2 chamber Flows are redneck obnoxious and drone like no other. Maybe leaving the resonators on will help. All the 2 chamber flows I have heard sound and perform great on Chevy's and Mustangs, but they drown out the stereo. LMK what you decide and how it turns out. I am shopping for a muffler myself, still leaning to the Mufflex/Mag. at this point.

Thanks for the opinion. Guess it's obvious that most prefer the Mufflex/Magnaflow. As price goes, it's about even. They are within $20 of each other, so that isn't an issue. Come to think of it, all the people that recommend the Flowmaster are Chevy or Ford guys. I'll do some more research before I take the plunge. :4-dontknow:

I almost could care less about the sound but do care about performance...have run flows before but switched to magnaflows for better performance... most people you hear switch to flows for sound, rarely do I hear the switch for performance...
