98' Ram question
I have a 98' Dodge Ram 5.2 Sport. When I step on the gas it feels kinda sluggish specially when I have to pass someone out in the country where I'm doing 55mph. I just put a 2" leveling kit on the front and a 3" BL with 33" General Grabbers. It has the stock open 3.55 geared rear end. I also have a Delta Flow 44 series Flowmaster muffler with the stock cat dumped right before the rear tire. Does anyone have any ideas on what more I can do?

I just replaced the Oxygen Sensors on my '98, and that has put a little more pep in its step.

Thanks, I'll check that out. My buddies 5.3 Vortec Silvarado smashes on my truck and his motors just stock.

Did you replace the stock cat with a new one?... if it's the original cat, it is likely clogged... put in a new hi-flow cat.

No I didn't change out the cat. The truck has 122k miles on it so I'd imagine the cat is clogged. What about that plenum fix?

I changed my cat at ~96k miles... it was ~75% blocked.

ive been running into the same problem..idk the plenum upgrade might work and most likely the cat but these 318s are know to be sluggish..i hate it but i was actually looking into 4:10 gears

I just got on TIG welding with this company so I'll have some money coming in soon. I'll defently change that cat out with a high flow one. I just got home from Hunnington Lake here in California and my truck was having a rough time climbing up the hills on the way up there. I think a gear swap will help it out with those 33s.

I have 33s now and im definatly looking into 4:10s definatly going to be pricey though

I'm leaning more to 4.10s to. I heard in my area it will cost around $1200 for a shop to do it.
