Manual A/C to Auto A/C

I just bought my wife a 2012 Avenger. She has the auto a/c and its a nice feature. I honestly love it and wish my Ram had it. Has anyone looked into changing a Ram with manual A/C over to the auto? I know some will say if youre to lazy to turn knobs this and that, I got it. Just a simple question hoping someone has already looked into it. I think it also has a cleaner look. If there is another thread already of this and you can link it please do. I appreciate all help and comments. I'm sure someone will still bust me up on this one. :box:Later...

There is at least a control module (perhaps integrated into the auto HVAC display), a split duct system, at least one additional actuator, and a temperature sensor.

I don't think it will be a straightforward swap, sorry.

Thanks emjon. I wasnt sure in the difference of the two systems. I guess If I had a chance to look at one that would tell a lot as well. Oh well moving on to the next mod.

i looked into doing the same a little while back and the replies i got were, it wasnt possible because there are temp. gauges around the truck to keep the temp regulated.

You should be able to do it. I've looked at RAMs with that system and compared it to the one I have on my SRT8. The temp sensor is on the controls itself. Best people to ask will either be Chrysler themselves or just go to the dealership and ask them.

I've thought about doing the same thing, but I've been waiting to get back from deployment before seriously working on making it happen.
