My Other Ram Build (with Pics) 83 D150 Stepside

I have had this truck for around 2 years and piddle with it occasionally, recently I was offered trades and a few people wanted to buy it, I have recently decided to start working on and restoring it again.
Here is what it looked like when I drove to North Georgia to get it.
Don't let the pics fool you, previous owner had a crappy paint job on it (runs, bondo, high and low spots)

The midnight express is what the previous owner was going for but since that package was only available in 1978 (I believe).

The truck was originally red with a slant 6 in it. Along the way it has received a 360 with a mild cam (but only has a 2 barrel carb on it, for now) and was painted black although the original red is still sported in the cab.

Stickers removed and the truck cleaned up a little.

Yes that's just a towel on the bottom of the bench seat since it needs recovering

And currently this is where I am at,
Took out the motor and re-gasketed the top end and painted it (I plan on putting a different intake and 4 barrel carb on it)

Well I tinkered around a little bit today, mostly cleaning it up a little in the interior and am now chasing a shorted wire on the stereo (turns off and on) but soon I will be probably pulling the dash out to fix the cracks and maybe modify it. Here is another pick of he motor.

At some point it will be getting headers, a 4 barrel intake and carb. Runs good though!

Went to a junk yard today, sorry it's raining so no picks today but here's what I got.
Dash with no cracks (just needs painting) -$15
Power Steering Pump, pulley, and brackets -$30

I looked through a durango and it got my head turning on maybe installing two bucket seats and console from another dodge (dakota, durango) then modifying the console around the floor shifter. I'm going to think about that one before buying seats and modifying everything, I kind of like the bench seat!

I also picked up some parts for people I know so I funded the two above parts so it was more than worth it!!!!!!

nice deal!

maybe buckets out of a 2g with the center console would look good? don't know how much room you have to work with.
