1997 ram 1500 peformance help!!!

hey guys new to the forum my dad just bought a 97 ram sport. Its jacked up on 35`s. now list of things we want to do are...
1. headers
2. full exhaust no cats
3. cold air intake
4. edge chip
now my question to you is can u chip a 97 maggy and what are some good brands of headers? Im going to take it to a muffler shop and get the mandrel full dual exhaust with the x pipe. and a k&n cold air

The computer can be flashed with a plug-in OBD II unit or you can send it off for custom tuning. Doug Thorley headers are great, but there are others. Price is a consideration.

pacesetter shortys i heard are good thats what im putting on mine soon enough and if u wanna run true duals its going to be tricky if its 4x4

why would it be tricky if you have 4wd?

Usually the front driveshaft can interfere.

Drop a 360 in it. The 318 is a good revving short stroke engine and pretty much indestructible, but it was never a great heavy car or truck engine. 360 has a bigger bore and stroke all around. Even the crank mains are bigger because it was designed from the beginning to push heavy vehicles (old C bodies and trucks).
