Turning off puddle lamps

I go hunting frequently and really don't like the puddle lamps on the exterior mirrors lighting up the whole area when I get into and out of the truck. Anyone know how to turn this off?

try the dimmer switch roller. I turn that off when I get home with the kids and they fall asleep in the truck. I durn the dimmer switch all the way left I believe and the lights inside the truck stay off. Might work for the puddle lights too.

Those lights still come on even with the interior lights dimmed down/turned off. When I replaced my right side mirror I noticed that there is a connector that runs from the side mirror to a power box (best way I can describe it) behind the door panel (which is real easy to take off) Only issue is that mine are also heated. Don't know if yours is as well or not. You can just leave that cable disconnected but I think it also gives power to adjust your mirrors or you can try to pry the lights open in and remove the bulbs. That or tint/paint those light or duck tape them when you go hunting and remove the duck tape with you are done

or.... (and I just thought of this)

plasti-dip the side view mirrors and make sure you get the lights as well.

Painters tape would leave less residue than Duct tape.

Nice, I didn't even think of those ideas! Thanks!

LOL... Keep forgetting about painter's tape. Good call on that one.
