Truck Insurance, how much are you paying?

Last year I traded in my Chrysler 300 SRT8 in on my first truck. I bought a 2012 Dodge Ram Big Horn SLT. I have no speeding tickets.accidents etc but I pay like $105 a month and I'm 41yo..I thought as you get older it goes down..lol..I left state farm and switched to geico and that did lower my SRT8 but when I bought a truck it stayed about the same..I have all the discounts pretty much and my 100 comp and 250 collision, SO.
FYI. I just traded in my BIG HORN last week on a SPORT. Now I have to buy another leer cover which I just ordered. very happy with the sport.

Everyone is told that the insurance rates get lower as you get older

now what they don't tell you, they get lower IF you

don't get tickets or accidents
if you don't buy a vehicle considered a Sport model, ie: Camaro, Lamborghini, etc
( a Ram Sport, has the same engine as the other Rams, same transmission too, & should not be considered a in that class )
If you don't Normally drive a long distance to work & back
& then the big one
If they didn't jack up the Formula that they use for figuring up the rates across the board

You don't want to know what i pay a year
i have one ticket for driving without my headlights on, the insurance company insists that it is for running a Red light, both come under the same Vehicle Code. They don't care if is Code *****, paragraph A, or way down the list, paragraph G

I fibbed & told them that my work was within 100 miles of Home, instead of most of my work being 160 miles away

Then my big Rate raiser,
my Ram is also my business vehicle & my current money maker
$1,000,000 Commercial Insurance policy w/ full coverage
$500 deductible

holy crap 380 a month! thats insane.

Im 25 have a 2008 big horn and I pay $110/mo with 500 deductible with no tickets. thats through state farm. Progressive was $175

I'm 42, one speeding ticket on my insurance record.
I pay about 160 a month but I carry 100/300/100 limits with additional riders for aftermarket equipment. I carry as much coverage as I can without going to a stated value policy.

There's a lot of illegals around here with no insurance at all....better safe than sorry.

20, no tickets or anything. Currently paying $133 a month but that includes two trucks. I have some pretty beefy coverage as well. Go USAA.

I pay 155/mo, 48, no tickets or wrecks

This covers:
2012 Ram Laramie Hemi CC 4x4
1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport
1988 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer
1976 Shasta 25' camper

All vehicles have full coverage and a $100 deductible.

I also have a 75 mph capable bass boat/motor/trailer that is covered for 48k agreed value, plus additional coverage for the stuff in it, which costs me $420 / yr.

It also has a $100 deductible, but is thru a separate company since my main carrier doesn't cover boats.

It depends A LOT on where you live too.

My truck is part of an umbrella policy but individually it's about $80/month for 100/300 and $500 deductible. It's listed as a 'pleasure vehicle' meaning I don't generally use it to commute or for business use which is true.

pay like 70 a month full coverage 250 deductible. but, im 45 , no accidents, no tickets, excellent credit. but being single i think i pay more for the likelihood of me cutting loose and doing something stupid. i dont know.
