Legit or not?
on ebay motors they have these CBE packages with a magnaflow muffler, supplied pipes and tips for $260. are these knockoff mufflers and pipes? and has anybody tried any part of this system on their truck and gotten a good bad or ugly result? thanks.

will do. sorry for the delay, i forgot to activate auto subrscribe when i post on a thread. im good to go now, i actually just pulled the trigger on the magnaflow package for 160$. if all else fails ill have the muffler to work with and i can prep the pipes with high temp enamel to protect from rust. (old ebay crappy steel trick) im gonna install at my gf's fathers autoshop with a lift and power tools. i think that will help as im assuming the hangers and nuts are super rusty and seized. ill post pics of the install and report back with a video/sound clip. ps i also got some halo angel eyes with projectors and led headlamps on ebay. if it works out its a bargain and if not its on bill later so it wont be an immediate shot to my wallet

Thats a sweet deal if it works out! The pipes aren't pre bent are they?

mdksdmf 09-04-2012 06:22 PM

yes, in the picture it shows mandrel bent piping with a slip joint. no flange. even if the muffler slips on, i could work with that going towards the axels. is it possible to plug a dual outlet muffler if u decide to go single exit?

hey guys. The ebay magnaflow kit came in the mail after 3-4 days. it came pre bent with 2.5" piping supplied with two strap hanger things, 7 pipe clamps, a magnaflow straight thru muff with dual outlets, and two 4" quality stainless tips that NEED to be welded on. IDK why it doesnt come welded on because it makes the DIY part kind of hard if you cannot weld (like myself). i believe i have seen similar kits like this on the street before where people have left the tips off and just have the piping out instead of the dual stainles tips. the kit that i received was exactly as described. hopefully fit is flawless. ill post back and can also post pics upon request.

it just installed with minimal issues. 2 things, the drivers side pipe hit the rear shock about a 1/4 in so that was marked and persuaded to clear. and secondly my pipes were long enough to where they have to be cut to a shorter length. i need 9" tips to weld on, cutting the exhaust pipes flush with bumper giving the tips abt a 2 inch reveal. they kit came with abt 18" tips. i think this may depend on where u mount the two rear strap universal type hangers tho. we mounted them pretty clos to the bumper not giving us much room to tweak for the tipps. The sound is nice and rumbly under load. The idle isnt loud at all. i also have an intake to the throttlebody so that adds tone. the exhaust still needs to burn off the oils in the piping but i anticipate a 6 out of 10 in loudness. maybe louder. idk to be honest. i got a few pics i can put up tommorow if anyone cares.
