after heads issue
I recently pulled the heads of and had them redone.
While they were off I replaced both sets of timing chain guides and two of the tensioners.
After I put it back together I began having an odd issue.
When the "D" is cold or after sitting for a while, I start it up and all is fine.
No noises, strong oil psi runs good.
After several minutes the oil psi begins to drop and a while longer it is low enough that it makes the noise like it is low on oil.
Still it runs fine.
But I am worried.
What could have happened or what I could have done wrong.
More important what can I do to fix this?

i recently did both heads and 3 timing chains on my 4.7 also. ran fine for 250 miles then at idle oil gauge would go to zero and come back to normal and check gauge would come on and it stalled. i pulled the oil pressure switch sender and put a psi gauge in its place and had 60-70 psi at idle. i changed the pressure switch and it didnt help. had foamy water mixed oil when i did the heads. one was cracked between the in and exh valves. i thought maybe the oil/water mix effected the gauge. now im thinking about the oil pump components but first im going to put the psi gauge back on and let it idle longer to see if it goes to zero.
