sport torque converter

Does the ”Sport” edition Hemi have a better torque converter than other models?

No....2300 stall.
The R/T's have a 2600 stall.

arlockstedt 09-07-2012 12:18 AM

What does the r/the have that makes them better? Just curious....

they have a higher stall tc, 4.10s and they only come in std cab so they aren't that heavy compared to qc and cc models. you can buy a std cab express with 3.92s for a lot less and the only real difference then would be the 300 rpm difference of the tc.

and they have a few cosmetic differences...hood, forged 22s.

The RT also has different suspension.

Really though like said above, if you get a 3.92 geared single cab sport or express 1500 with LSD you have nearly the same truck performance wise. Then if you go with an aftermarket converter you'd probably be even quicker.

do you mean coil springs rates?

snrusnak 09-07-2012 12:40 PM

^yeah the springs I know for sure are different part numbers than any other ram 1500. Not sure about shocks and sway bars.

Not that it makes a huge difference or anything...

What makes the Sport a "Sport"?

Price tag???

Seriously though it's basically an express, with a few more options, colored handles, mirrors, etc...
