Legmaker carbon fiber intake tube review.

I got this thing in today finally....first let me say that it's just an intake tube, I do not expect any power increase and I bought it because I liked the way it looks. It's a very nice part though. The weave is nice and even and the tube itself is very uniform and smooth.
The hardware provided is above and beyond what's necessary. The medium duty t-bolt clamps were a surprise. They look much better than a regular worm drive hose clamp. They're definitely overkill as there's no pressure on these connections but they're a nice touch.
Both connectors are multi layer silicone hose, also overkill for this application but look much nicer than a plain old rubber hose.
I definitely like the IAT extension wire that moves the sensor to the air box intake tube. That stock sensor location is an eyesore.

Anyway....I'm sure if I dynoed it it would provide the same <10 hp increase any other intake on the market gives. I did add an aFe Pro Guard 7 drop in filter just because.

$225 is a lot of money for a tube.

Blah blah blah....225 bucks is nothing. I'm in the fortunate position to buy mostly what I want, when I want it. I won't apologize for it either.
Are you still butthurt over our previous posts back and forth...or do you still think that S&B intake turned your stock truck into a fire breathing dragster that gets 40mpg? LOL

I do have a legit question for you Grub. You have the LEO/EMT/Fire badge on your profile...which one are you?

Grubrunner 09-09-2012 12:42 AM

In a fortunate position to buy what you want, when your heart desires, huh? You sir are my friggin' hero!

LMAO!

I hardly EVER take ANYTHING said in the real world to heart, let alone on an internet forum from a handle; so no, my butt don't hurt.... at least not as much as yours.

I gained next to no MG gains on the S&B; I posted this on my thread. You should be a little more attentive to the task at hand to prevent [continous] self-enduced embarrassment.

But I gotta' say, you bait easier than ANYONE I've ever encountered on an internet board in almost 15 years of activity. It's like taking an ice-cream cone from a fat kid.... Love it!

I'm a career firefighter.
