Flowmaster 10

I am thinking about getting the flowmaster 10 for my truck I want to get the loudest out there and a lot of my friends say go with the 10. What do you all think?

The10 series will be the loudest flowmaster. I had dual 10 series on my GT. it was crazy loud and the drone would set off car alarms. Haha

I was really going for the 10s at first, went to the muffler shop and the guy tried talking me into the 50s for "better performance" I told him I didn't care I wanted loudness. So I settle with the 40s and they are still pretty loud and also set off car alarms. I have never heard the 10s in person but if you get them be sure to post a vid, preferably a drive by!

shoulda got a normal muffler and did cutouts...even with your 'loud' 40's, nothing is louder than cutouts...with them closed the sound is barely louder than stock..

I've got the Cherrybomb extreme which is pretty much the same as the flowmaster 10 series and I love it. But for some reason it wasn't loud enough for me so I cut out my cats lol. If you want loud, definitely go with the 10/extreme or do straight pipe, which is what I plan on doing later down the road.

I agree with freddie. Right now on my truck I have no muffler on it. Sounds great around town but on the highway the drone can be annoying, and I've heard flows can actually be worse for drone. Look into and nice long magnaflow muffler and an electric cutout and I think you'll be much happier. Just my two cents. I plan on doing this on my truck.

having my truck for the last 7 years, it has gone thru many exhaust transformations. Losing the cats really increased the sound level as well as made the tone more raw sounding (really muscular)... the setup I've been running has been on the last 3 years and I love how quiet incab it sounds on the long drives (or even during commutes), just the rythmic v8 muscular tone. When I'm alone and want to express the kid in me I open the cutouts and hear it scream, not kidding when I say it sounds like nascar as it moves the earth when I get on it... I like having the options and not stuck with a muffler that is either too quiet for some or too loud for others...

Why does everyone say they want to be loud and use the word muffler in the same sentence? Get an SLP Loudmouth 1 resonator or just straight pipe it.

sounds like a contradiction in terms huh..lol.

I can not do straight pipes where I live we have state inspection. I got my 10's on the way I will post a video when I am done. Should be about a week before I'm done I hope just waiting on the mail!
