Free LASIK eye surgery for Wounded Warrior Alumni members
Not sure how many of y'all this applies too, or if it's already commonly known....

I wanted to make sure it actually happened before I told anybody about it, but LASIKplus offers free corrective laser surgery to Wounded Warrior Project members.

Basic idea is the COO of the company is a retired Army Officer who came up with the affiliation and they do absolutely free LASIK for Wounded Warrior members as well as spouses.

Took about I'd say 5-6months to get it cleared/approved, but I go in for my exam Friday and unless something is really wrong wtih my eyes I'll get it done next month.

They send you this little certificate card that verifies you, just take it in with you.

This is really awesome! I had it done while still on active duty, so it wouldn't apply to me, but the results were incredible, and I would encourage anyone who hasn't done it and can take advantage of this to DO IT NOW! You will be amazed at the difference.

I have been considering LASIK for a while now. This company has earned my paid business for their support of this program and those who went the extra mile.

I go in a week from Thursday for the surgery. Eval went very smoothly too, I couldn't really ask for the process to be any easier.

They ran it out in the paperwork, came out to right around $3500. Then the discount - 100% for a grand total of $0.00.

All you've gotta pay for is the sterile eye drops, be it if you buy that from them or your local drug store.

Totally worth it, I got this done a few years ago (can't believe its been 3 years already).

Had it done about 1:30, I can see very well already. There's a little bit of blur around the TV and lights, my laptop screen espeically so I'm wearing the sunglasses in the house. Took 15mins and I was asleep 20mins after I was done. Slept about 3hrs and woke up with my eyes a little dry but very clear sight.

Not a bad result for 10-15mins of medical treatment.
