Help w/ other Chrysler Product
Can you guys give me your thoughts please.................. I know this doesn't belong here but I have nowhere else to go so go easy on me

My wife drives a 2011 Jeep Compass 4x2. Problem is OCCASIONALLY at a red light (complete stop with foot on brake) The car will out of nowhere vibrate fairly seriously for about 3 seconds then return to normal idle. Dealer "flashed" ecu. Did not help. Any thoughts to bring to their attention?

Thanks ahead of time.

Does the brake pedal go down when vibrating? I am thinking a vacuum problem. Let us know how it turns out.

Thats my problem, of course it doesn't do it when its at the dealership. Called the original dealer that I bought it from today, they said if it is not doing it constantly and no check engine light, there hands are tied. Vacuum problem definitely sounds like an idea...

Car only has 9500 miles on it. Tried signing up on a Jeep Compass forum and they denied me! Said they don't accept SPAM:4-dontknow:

Used to have a Jeep Compass myself, 2007 sport with the 2.4L and CVT automatic. Does she have the CVT or a manual trans? Not too sure how much has been changed since I had my Compass but the CVT is still the same far as I know and it has to have EXACTLY the correct amount of fluid in it and this change has to be done by the dealer since it takes a certain tool to measure it being as there is no dipstick lol. How long has she been having this problem? Dealership will say their hands are tied if they can't either, replicate the problem or the CEL is not on but if they've flashed the computer and there are no codes, it's tough to find a place to start trouble shooting. You might try a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the event it may be a clogged injector or even bad fuel. You can also sign up for our Z site for Jeeps,, some pretty knowledgeable folks over there as well but good luck and keep us posted!
