Best electric cutouts?

I am looking to get some electric cutouts ( thanks a lot Fred) and want to know what works and what's crap! Also where is the best place to put them. I heard that putting before o2 will throw codes.

Many use raceland here. ... But other brands are QTP, etc.

I would say a 3" raceland. place it as close to the Y pipe as possible

I have been very happy with my qtp cutout, I wasnt impressed with dmh's performance or customer service, plus they have a lot of people unhappy with them over on lxforums. One tip with cutouts to make them last longer is to not open/close them when you're on the gas pedal.

DMH's, if you run a Y pipe, put it right after the Y... for true duals, right after where the Y would have been... AND YOUR WELCOME..lol!!!

I have over 100k miles on my cutouts...gave them a good cleanin yesterday...

Fred that video of you on your street is bad Ass!!!! Fred are you running true duels and do have headers?

I had a raceland on my '08 it started leaking after about 8 months. I'm going to try DMH next. What are the people on the lxforum unhappy about?

I plan on going with DMH when I get mine. A buddy of mine swears by them as he's had 3 sets (different vehicles). He also says that the customer service was extremely good since he had to have a slight modification done to his and they were more than happy to help.

yes, you can say I have a true dual 'hybrid' setup :) , running pacesetter long tubes, 3" piping from header collectors through gutted cats, with H pipe, to dual 3" DMH cutouts to a flipped 22" magnaflow 3" di/ 3.5" so muffler dumped after axle... I did this because of the fear of losing low end tq with a wide open exhaust setup, I figured with a single out, it should be enough 'back' pressure for good scavenging...
