Moldy smell

Has anyone had a strong mold odor develop in their Ram truck? I have a 2011 Ram 2500 pick up. It started about a month ago and is getting bad. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There are A/C anti-odor sprays in most parts stores, but you could just take it to the dealership as it may be covered under warranty since the A/C system should not be developing an odor for quite some time. Take a look at your cabin filter and see if there's anything on it, if not, you may have the start of growth in the ducts itself.

One other potential place to check is the passengerside foot well or under rear seats. If there's a leak in a sunroof or 3rd tail light that's where water can accumulate after a rain and can start molding.

When we the last cabin air filter replacement, look to see how your cabin air filter looks it might just be that, also if you don't have a carbon one, you may want to get a carbon one next time they help a lot

I have not seen a Gen 4 Ram that came from the factory with a Cabin Air Filter
it did come in some of the cars
Some people Mod the Rams insulation, cut on the dotted line, buy the lid & filter & install it themselves
