Blower Motor

I've got an 07 Ram. Its getting a little cooler out so I had the heat on on my way home from work this morning. It didn't seem like the blower motor was running. I turned it all the way up and it worked fine, but on all the other settings it doesn't work. I turned the radio down, even turned the truck off then just to the on position without it running to see if maybe it was just really quiet, but the only setting that works is high. I checked out youtube, the motor seems to be an easy replacement, but they said if you lose some speeds its probably just the resistor. So, has anybody else had this problem and was it just the resistor for the blower motor? If so what was the part worth? The resistor is also an easy to replace part, just curious to see if anybody else has had this issue, and or if anybody knew price wise what a new resistor is worth.

Thanks guys!

Yep it's your resistor. Go to autozone and pick one up, dealership will rape you. Mine went in my 08 with like 20k on the truck. It's located up under the passenger footwell and held in with 2 screws. Did mine in the parking lot at work during lunch, really simple and I think it was around 20 or 30 bucks at guatozone.

Thanks 1AAuto has a video up on youtube about changing it and your blower motor. For once the engineers made something thats easy to get at for once. Gave the connection a wiggle and it seems to be working alright now, perhaps just a bad connection, but if it keeps happening I'll swap out the resistor.
