2WD Front Shock Question

Hey all,
Im planning on replacing the front shocks on my 2wd 99 1500. The only concern I have is the lower shock bolts. My truck is very rusty and I dont know if I will be able to salvage the old bolts as they will probably need to be cut off. Does anyone know what kind of bolts are used or have a link to a place that sells them?
Thanks.

go to the auto parts or a home improvement store & buy some PB BLASTER
forget WD-40 & Liquid Wrench
There is only one product that is available locally & works better then PB Blaster is a product called KROIL, it can be purchased at Gun Shops & is more expensive

Give your bolts a good shot of PB BLASTER & go do something else for a while, like look for the tools to take the bolts off
If it doesn't seem to work, use a small bottle of MAPP gas to heat up the nut

If you decide to replace the bolts & nuts, go to a place like a Home Improvement store or NAPA & purchase a GRADE 5 bolt & nut, grade 3 may work, grade 8 would be overkill
check the thread count on the new hardware, fine or course thread, metric or standard

I did this to my 99 2wd a couple years ago. I had to grind off most of the bolts all the way around. I just used some galvanized bolts I had in the garage to put the new shocks on. You don't need to try and save the old bolts. They are junk anyway.

Pb blaster or a torch should work....Use new bolts anyway..
