cables should hold up just fine i have had about 20 bags of sac crete on my tailgate and no problem with the cables . i would not worry about it at all. I have had even heavier stuff to on it . The sac crete bags are roughlly 60-70 lbs a piece as well .

My 400EX quad fit right in and had a few inches left.
Be careful with ramps also, I have known people who have had their ramps slide off of the tailgate.

Never had an issue. And I have the shorter bed. So more weight on the tailgate.

I have a Yamaha Grizzly 450. I just deflate the rear tires and the tailgate closes. I have the quad cab.
