Chrysler Recall M34

Just got an email saying that starting in the beginning of November Recall M34 will be issued in the 4th generation trucks. It states that the rear axle pinion nut may loosen due to a lack of adhesive. if it loosens the axle can lock up and cause a loss of vehicle control and or crash with little warning. Dealers will install a Pinion nut Retainer to correct this concern.

Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of an up and coming recall.

Thanks pal, I heard of it but couldn't find it in google. Hence the new ram I saw w/ a dangling drive shaft on the side of the L.I.E. a few months back! LOL! & people were calling me paranoid on here. I think intelligent is more like it. Things just don't break for no damn reason!

I took my truck in for an oil change and they told me there was a recall on it. Then I learn that the part is not available until early next year.

For anyone who's truck is effected by this recall the information is now in the system and you can now check your VIN to see if you fall under the recall.

That is a good place to go. Also you can call your dealer with your VIN and they will be able to check for you.
