Doing the big 3 all at once tomorrow
Ceramic coated JBA's, Magnaflow Y with mandrel bends to rebuild the mid-pipe and Magnaflow cat-back with 5" tips. I hate exhaust work....gonna do it all in one day and never have to touch it again.

I agree, I also hate exhaust work. Those damn headers are not what I would call fun lol.

What exhaust tips are those? I want a nice set of 5 inch tips.

Hell yea man!!
Dude your gonna have one badass truck
And to be honest, I think it looks much better without the sport hood. It just "matches" more now.

GhostR1der 10-17-2012 09:55 PM

Ahh hell I just read the Magnaflow cat back part lol. I got excited and didn't read.

Hey bud...done any new mods yet??

Nice stuff there! Are you using all SS pipe? Post up results once you do it please, I'll be doing mine soon, basically the same just no headers (4.7L - unavailable). But I'm welding mine all up with mandrel bends, not looking forward to it, that's why I'm putting it off. I'm actually using aluminized pipe though, couldn't afford SS...

UNBROKEN 10-17-2012 10:41 PM

Yes, everything pictured is stainless.
I figure several hours on the headers, several more on the mid pipe and 30 minutes on the cat back. LOL
I'm lucky enough to have access to a lift, air tools and welding equipment at work....makes it a bit easier than a driveway install.
Should have a sound clip tomorrow night unless stuff just doesn't fit.

snrusnak 10-17-2012 10:49 PM

What are you using, MIG?

Yeah I'll be doing it in the driveway which = not fun, haha. But my plan is to get it all tacked together then drop it out and weld it up in the garage. Will save a little headache anyway... I'm also not a good welder so need to have extra time for that. I think it's going to take me an entire day, with a friend's help.

UNBROKEN 10-17-2012 11:09 PM

Depends on time....I always say I'll TIG it then I get in a hurry and break out the MIG. It's an industrial size MIG though....not a flux core home set-up.
I'm gonna do the same the headers then blot up the mid-pipe and cut out everything I don't want, fit the new pipe and tack it in place then pull the whole thing and weld it out on a table. The cat-back is only 4 can't take more than a few minutes to throw on after I Sawzall the stock stuff outta there.
